DUSTER and DEMON sheetmetal & other a-body too for sale

A34

The Etowah Flash
I have a 71 Valiant 4 door this is loaded with over $2000 of good parts for a Duster or Demon or other A-body. It has:

  • Duster hood setup for hood scoops (scoops not included)
  • good inner fenders
  • good k-frame slant 6
  • good firewall
  • cowl
  • floorboards
  • trunk floor

If you're building a 68-71 2 dr Valiant, it has good back glass, rear deck lid, quarters, and doors.

Car has good solid frame, front core support, and many extra parts like power brake booster, wiper motor, etc.

Car has no suspension, so you will have to bring casters to move it. Add up all the good rust free original sheetmetal and you'll see it's a deal. Don't put cheap Chinese repro metal in your car, for this price you can have good American stuff. Go to the AMD website and start adding up the sheetmetal, you'll see what I mean. pm for pics, and include your email address. $800 is a steal for all these parts.

You will have to pick up in Atlanta, Ga.

Yes, and since you seem to know me. Can I have some of those gold coins? I'll need them for the restoration of my Charger.

"Any guy that would drive a Chevrolet would suck a dick." Said over a Grölsch at Taco Mac in 1996. I still have those two bottles.

Ringing any bells?

Yeah, it's been that long! I talked to Joe Hinds on Facebook and he said he ran into you recently. He said that you, Lea, and the ever-growing familly were doing very well.

Do you still have the Charger in your pic, and the red '69? How about the HemiSalmon and the "BAD GUY" license plate? You know, when I walked into R&D during my interview and saw that fish hanging over your desk, that about clinched me taking the Year One job should it be offered.

Yes, Lea and I have 4 beautiful children. Our oldest Jacob is 14 and we're working on a 71 Demon for him. Pic attached below, just after I did a smokey burnout in it. We have since added Ralley wheels to it. Joe's shop is about 5 -7 miles from my house.

I still have both Chargers you referenced. The red one is being restored currently. The green one I'm driving and beating the snot out of. I have the salmon hanging in my garage and the license plate. How are things with you? Still have the Black beast?

Sadly, the Black Bitch (as I referred to it) died a hideous death in PA when I was working at Barton's. Let's just say this: I never found the #5 & #6 cam lobes, and the #6 rod was hanging out the side of the block. The last time I saw her, she was in a meadow in Robesonia, PA. I still have the title, but that's about it.

Things are OK, I guess... I've been unemployed for about 9 months but I'm hanging on. I'm still single--I almost got married, but then I got better again (for those of you that may remember, A34 and I were the original "Bitter Boys" :D ). I live alone in a small house with a demon-spawn dog named Valentine back in Charcoal City, meaning Kingsford. My project of the last 8 years has been an '81 LeBaron coupe, but that's on the way out as I realized I really don't care to sink that kind of money into a car like that. Keep your eyes open for a decent '71-'72 Charger or '72-'74 Challenger body, though. I don't care how stripped it is, I just don't want to deal with frame damage and too much floor rot.

Sorry to hear you're unemployed. You're much too smart for that. I hope things turnaround for you.

They will in time. The job market here really sucks unless you're Stretch. He's swattin' 'em away like flies, but he's a wrench and I'm a parts guy.

If only the women wanted me like the shops do!

Thanks Fishy.

Pierre, as I remember you could turn a pretty decent wrench yourself. Just do the simple stuff. Oil changes, tune-ups. Take out an ad on Craigslist or some local car club newsletters, I'm sure you could generate some cash. You gotta be pro-active my brother. Mow lawns, clean houses, flip cars, Mopar parts or move.

I hear North Dakota has jobs out the ying yang and guys are making a ton up there. If you can stand the cold of "DA U.P., EH", you can handle ND.

Of course, you've probably already thought of all that, but just thought I'd mentioned it. ;)

Hey, you already got a good one who accepts you for who you are. Count your blessings as you never know what else is out there, could be a physco with a gun or a knife.

Trust me, I am blessed! It's just good for a guy's ego to have to beat them off with a stick every now and then. :D

Randy, my main problems with moving to ND are my dog and my house. Yes, McDonald's is paying $15/hr out there, but it's not enough to support the high rent when I find a place that will allow the dog, the boarding of the dog until then, and paying for this place as well. My house is not in sellable condition and it would take a while and a bunch of money I don't have to get it there. I have a friend already in ND that's been pestering me about making the move.

No, I will not give up the dog.

I have a well-earned reputation as the best of the best when it comes to parts guys up here, yet for some reason I can't get anyone to hire me other than part-time fill-in only at a store owned by friends. They can't swing me full time, though. Yet, every wrench in town knows, "If Pierre can't find it, it just doesn't exist." :D

Yeah, I know. My friend lives in Minot; I don't know how close that is to you.

It would be cool to see you and Shelley again, and maybe meet Dippy as well.

Trust me...you are better off not meeting Dippy.... :D:D:D

Kidding DW - you know I love you.... [smilie=i:

We may be passin' through your part of the world again this summer. I came close last year (Actually drove right by Beeper's town) But I was pulling a mobile stage with a limited time schedule, so was not able to stop.

Minot's about 3 hrs from us. I drive that far a couple times a week for wurk.

If you're even going to be close, let Stretch and I know. I think I can speak for him when I say we'd make the trip to meet.

Poor A34... he's only just begun here, and already his threads are getting hijacked. :D
