Dragging home more "Junk"...

thrashingcows

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing...so I'm
Well after watching a for sale ad for a couple of Ramchargers pop up on and off for a year or more I finally decided to go check them out in person. Hummed and hawed and eventually convinced myself I needed them. ;)

So I then had to scramble to clear a section of my acreage to store my "junk" as the wife calls them. So lots of brush and tree clearing, stump pulling etc and I now have room for about 4 vehicles and misc stuff.

They had been sitting a lot of years but still lots of usable parts, no title or papers but I didn't care about that.

First one I dragged home...

1985 318? with an Offenhouser single plane intake, A/C and cruise, and a sweet 90's aftermarket moon roof and I think the roof rack assembly is stock-ish, or aftermarket but made for RC's? Blue interior.

Following week the other one came home...

Another 85 with a 360/4bbl, A/C, cruise, power windows and door locks, tilt, red interior, and someone swapped in a truck Dana 44F from an earlier Dodge, no vacuum operated system to lock in the 4wd. Has old leaking 33x12x15 tires on it.

Plan is to get this one up and running and then swap my plow system from Sno-ball over to it and make it my winter plow truck. Once I do the cummins swap on Sno-ball I am not very excited about using it just as a winter plow truck and would actually like to drive it regularly.

that second one looks like a pretty clean rig, while im no fan of the 80s rc's it deffinatly is pretty nice and someones done the first few things id do to it allready

The second one even has what appears to be a dealer, or OEM type aftermarket installed roll bar. The brackets are shaped to fit the floor and rear wheel well.

there were factory roll bars tho most vanished ages ago, ive never seen a good fit aftermarket unit

easy way to verify if the tube size,,the OE are small bar

Well the bar is covered in matching red carpet so it appears to be about 4", but bet it's a 3" tube with the carpet removed.

I'll try and remember to snap some pics of the bar, and it's mounting brackets and maybe pull the carpet back and see how big the bar actually is.

"if" i didnt have a modified short box bar in my rc id be begging you for yours LOL....that and i dig the style of mine, tho the one i picked up for the extended cab 74 id KILL to trade for but re-re-modding my non RC modded to fit and rc bar to back fit a long box would be a HUGE pain
