Dottie...

restoman

The paint fumes have cleared so I'm
What were we thinking!?

This little bundle of cuteness came home with us last Saturday.
English Springer Spaniel, tri-colour female, at 11 weeks old.

It just wasn't the same here, with Lola gone, so we went out "just to look..."
Yeah. We all know how that one plays out. ;)

She's tinier than Lola and Roscoe were at that age. Not the runt of the litter, the whole litter is small-ish. Both parents are average sized Springers.

Size plays no part in the cuteness factor, though! Seems to be quick learner... just about house-broken all ready.
Roscoe - our 10 year old Springer is un-decided about her. He's blind, so he's not quite sure...
Otto, the Dane, isn't keen on the attention she's getting, so we keep an eye on him. I'm sure Dottie looks at Otto and thinks "GODZILLA!!!!!" She keeps her distance.

Just shy of 5 months...
Don't let the calm look fool you: she's a real shit!
With big brother Roscoe. One of the few times that she isn't trying to chew on him...
:)

Coming up on 14 months...
47 lbs of Best Friend, right there.
Frightingly smart, more energy than we know what to do with, and still scared of her own shadow.
This dog could wear out the Energizer Bunny.
:)

I dunno... she looks positively mellow in that photo.
That's the frightening part...

We went for a two hour walk immediately after that pic.
'Walk" is only loosely used when discussing Dot: it's more like a "Hurry up, old man! I've got places to be!"
We weren't in the house five minutes and she brought me her leash in a "ok, break time is over" kind of way.
Seriously considering agility training for this one...
