This car was built back in the early 80's by gentleman named Bob Klopp which was the original owner of this Diplomat. Was in Mopar Action Magazine in Feb 1991. This car is believed to be 30k original miles.

Exterior/interior:
This wagon retains all of its exterior trim and wood grain finishes. The paint was redone at some point and is in excellent shape. There are a few flaws (chips, dings) on the body. All glass is in great shape with no chips/cracks. The underside of the hood/fender aprons have been cleared and look really nice. Metal of the car is solid with no signs of rust. Underside of the car is undercoated. Interior has bucket seats with console/floor shifter. Front seats have some minor wear, but the interior presents extremely well. Power windows, locks work as well as heat and AC. Boyds billet/leather steering wheel installed. Factory 8-track radio works.

Drivetrain:
Solid sounding 440 V8 with six pack carb setup. Upgraded ignition, cam and exhaust. Car sounds great. Automatic transmission with 8 3/4'' rear end with limited slip. Four wheel disc brakes with corvette booster/master cylinder add some braking performance. This car makes tons of torque and will boil the tires. Does have a minor exhaust leak on the passenger side.

This is a very unique car that was put together well. You definitely will not see another car like this at the local cruise in. Solid car that runs and drives well and makes good power.

Clean Texas title.

Texas buyers pay applicable TT&L.

Not only do I remember this car well, I have that particular issue of Mopar Action, as well as two copies of the other issue in which it appears (don't remember the date, but the article was called "Hot to Swap" if memory serves).

There's precious little I'd change about this car, really... it needs steelies and dog-dishes, the give-away fender emblems would have to go, Mr. Klopp's steering column mod to clear the exhaust would be changed, and maybe toss a T-handle Slap Stick where the original shifter sits (it's a direct bolt-in). The steering wheel would be replaced with a factory red leather piece, and the tach would be replaced with something less chintzy-looking. Other than the column, that's a Saturday well spent.

All that being said, $25K is beyond ridiculous. Half that amount would be a stretch.

I would swear I saw that car at Mopars at Englishtown back in the day.
You likely did. It seems to me Klopp was relatively local to Ehrenberg at the time, since E-boog had photos of Klopp's swap in the tech article.
And mine looks like the ugly twin.
It's also a gooder sleeper than this one. I love me some Torq-Thrusts, but they do absolutely nothing for this car other than hint that it's something more than Aunt Gert's foodstuff hauler. Be gone, and take the Six Pack emblems with you, silly wheels!
