Demo dandy

A good friend of mine just finished his latest demo car. This tank is a 66 Olds 88 with a 425 big block. He will be traveling across the state this weekend to a huge demo derby for it's debut.
The car has a rollcage, every door and trunk lid gap have been entirely welded shut and the suspension was raised and the shocks replaced with solid steel pipe...

Take note of the lucky horseshoe welded to the roll cage on the passenger side.

Pretty fancy paint job for a demo car.....

Hey, I have a couple of buddies with Imperials that would love to administer an attitude adjustment or two.

Ever see the frame on those mid sixtys Oldsmobarges? Can you say crossbraces? Of course Imperial it ain't, but should be able to hold it's own for awhile.

Oh, they're stout, no question. I imagine he'll fare quite well as long as he's not facing any Imperials or C-barges. Those cars were stout unibodies (way stronger than a frame chassis) with a frame welded to 'em.
