Well it has come to that time we all love time to rebuild a car in a few weeks. Here is the rub not sure what to do with the car.

As the car is a post I bought it to stuff a small block into and have fun in but now it looks like I will be selling it when done.

What to do what to do I need help deciding...

If for sale I voted stock then the buyer can see "potential". and again if you are selling stuff that offy would fetch more by itself than "as installed"

id find me a lil 273 "stock" maybe change out the cam and put a 625 eddy/carter on it...kinda set it up as a "commando" spec engine.....only if i was keeping it

I voted for the small block, but a hyper pack slant 6 would be tits!

The junk yard i live at has a good running 66 273 I can get all the parts for ~ 450 motor trans rear k frame .... This is the source of my stress..

The only PITA is 65 darts still use a cable shift trans and the 66 is not so I will need to change the stearing col... Or see my question in the tech section

if ya melted cables you didnt route em right or you forgot to re-ground the engine(dont ask)......a good proper mount and route will result in a cable lasting well...forever

parts parts parts

good running 273 is so close but I can not get a price out of the owner I do not want to use the 273 for the cuda but...

Found a 65 A motor trans the SHOULD bolt up to the 273 and shift from the the same. So I could use the bench seat over but the yard has dart buckets but they want to sell the whole dart.

One of the stickler points on the 66 273 is if I but the AC or not. if I take the motor before they sell the AC they do not think they will get 200 for the AC if it is not mounted. i am not sure if I can convert eather of my a bodys over to AC..

The have 8.75 rears in small vans that look like they will fit but again not sure if they will sell them or not....

83/4 out of small vans...WTF do you consider a "small" van(if your thinking 60s mopar vans your nuts there HUGE)......only rear i am aware that even "might" fit is the 66ish b body unit and the 67-67 a-body unit

the 66 ac stuff is not all that hard to convert a car into ac...the 67-69 stuff is much much harder with MUCH MUCH larger holes needing to be cut

Little square locksmith vans from the 60s custom bodys they look like 2/3 size UPS trucks. They have 10 or so but are not parting them yet.

get me a shot of one so i know what the hell your talking about...almost sounds like a sambar but i know thats not posible as there rear engine rwd

get me a pic of the real thing silly

500 for that rear id jump on it

HOWEVER..wouldnt a 66ish b body rear fit under it or is it that much more narrow than a 67-69 a-body?
