The Takata airbag inflator recall will affectover five million vehicles, according to the company. Many are likely no longer on the road, since the model years affected range from 2004 to 2011, and natural attrition (including crashes) naturally take some vehicles out of the pool, but it will still be a substantial expense for Fiat Chrysler and for Takata.
