TheJ.D. Power APPEAL study asks 84,000 car owners or lessees how happy they are with a car after 90 days of ownership, using a 1000-point scale.
The top brands were all premium(Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, etc). Looking at non-premium brands only,Ram and Dodge were above average, and Chrysler was close to, but below, average. Dodge and Chrysler werebelow Chevrolet but above Subaru, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota.
Smart not only anchored the list, but hadthe widest gapbetweenany two brands — falling 66 points below Fiat. In contrast, Jeep was just 25 points below average and Dodge was 30points from the top non-premium brand, Mini, and 14 points from the next highest non-premium brand, Hyundai.
Chrysler had two best in class showings (among many classes)
