Jeepis recalling 2014-15 Jeep Cherokees to install shields toprotect their power liftgate control modules and related components from moisture. The investigation was instigated by Auburn Hills after learningof a fire which revealed that power liftgate control modules in some Cherokeescould be inadvertently exposed to water, causing a short circuit.
