I have serious issues, so I'm
I posted this on moparts but forgot to post it here. Please forgive me. [smilie=e:
After months of hard work, my husband and I got our '76 Dart Swinger done. We rebuilt the suspension, added a sway bar, changed the rear end to convert the small bolt pattern rims to large, converted the drum brakes to disc (all this was free from a parts car), did all sheetmetal repair and bodywork, painted it ourselves in our garage using PPG Omni basecoat/clearcoat in Spinnaker White, and redid the interior.
It's a 225 slant six, bone stock and runs excellent. With gas prices how they are we want ONE car to get decent gas mileage! We found a set of steelies in a junkyard, cleaned them up and painted them white, too. The bumblebee stripe is painted on. We also scored on a set of red line dog dish hubcaps from a parts car. I know we did a bunch of other stuff but I can't remember it all!
We did it on a budget, but still used high quality parts, and financed most of the project by selling parts off two parts cars, a '70 and a '73...that were loaded with goodies.
Here's some pics of our Double D's (as in Dart/Duster) [smilie=w:

Before:

Changed the ugly tail panel so we could bolt on a '70 style bumper:

Interior, we sewed a new front seat cover, put in a dash pad from a parts car, made a headliner, and changed the carpet. Total interior cost: $150, mostly from the carpet. The upholstery material we got free from my father in law's attic, he has rolls of original factory material.

A bit of rust! [smilie=e:
My hubby is an excellent welder and there is a bare minimum of body filler in the entire car. [smilie=e:
