It is hard to believe Phil Aubrey is only the second registered owner of this stunning 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air with dual four-barrel carburetors (a.k.a. dual quads or 2x4s) on its original 265 -cid V-8. This was Chevrolet’s “hot” engine setup for the 1956 model year, but was far more commonly seen on Corvettes.

Of the tri-five chevies I have always preferred the 56. This one looks exactly like my brothers second car. He had a 348 with 3-on-the-floor. Got drunk on his 17th b'day and hit a tree. :doh: So much for the 56. :huh:
 
the tri 5s are the primary example of "i have a bellybutton" and rank right up there with the mudstain
 
'56 is my fave of the tri-5's too.


Needs a Hemi with Hilborns, a straight axle and 6' ladder bars. Oh, and a lot of metal flake in some shade of green and or gold.
