It wouldn’t be a stretch to call the Pontiac Trans Am the “last muscle car standing” by the time the 1975 models showed up.

Only the ’75 Corvette, with a modest 205 hp in its top engine option, eclipsed the T/A when it came to go power.

Sure, those numbers are laughable today, but in an era bereft of memorable cars, the 1975 Trans Am still looked cool, rode and handled great, and was simply a darn nice machine.

And a short time later they were being blown away by a pee-cup truck. :bwuhaha:

I like it. A lot.
Lower that front end slightly and I'd be more than happy to drive it.

Don't get me wrong, guys--it's a gorgeous car. My ex-wife is also a very-attractive woman, even at 41 years of age.

However, I've already had both... and I know all too well the ugly that lies beneath. :D

:)
Never met your ex, but I'd still like to own the car.
Shit... I own an aircooled VW... can't be any worse.

I'd like one a couple years earlier. I too owned an early 2nd gen GM F body and I'd take another, of the right one.

In my old neighbourhood there was a 71-73 455HO T/A, red and white, stuffed in a garage, looked like it had been there a lot of years. The 12 years I lived there only saw the garage door opened that one time....it was a bit of a run down house.

I like it! I like the color combo. The interior, and the number of pedals. I'd drive the shit out of that!

There are times that color and pedals aren't enough. The bottom line always is, "When you slip in behind the wheel and turn it on, does it do the same for you?" :hmmm:

My Dad had a '79 trans-am when I had my learners permit. I spent lots of time "cruzin" with him in that car while I was getting my required drive time in. So yes, Those cars hold a special place in my heart. As do early ford broncos. He had one of those when I was a kid and lived in Montana. I spent many many hours hunting in that truck and learned how to drive a manual shift in it too.

Ugly under the car can be changed.
My ex did inpatient time in a psych hospital.
I eventually figured out I couldn't fix that.
