Car of the Week: 1974 Dodge ‘Hang 10′ Dart

Reminds me of the Spirit Of '76 that the first ex bought with the divorce settlement money.

the spirt of 76 was pretty well the same car differance was the addition of orange to the striping....2 of the 3 cars that belong together in a package....the 3rd being the TRUE feather duster with all of its aluminum including the aluminum leaning tower of power

Feather Dusters and Dart Lites all had iron blocks and heads. The aluminum slanty was an early-'60s thing, and block only. Chrysler never cast an aluminum head for the Slant Six. The trans case was aluminum in those cars, though; the first time Chrysler used one on a 4-speed.

There was a Hang 10 running around here for years. I never really thought much of it though (no idea on the drivetrain). I think it's a neat little outtake from the '70s, but I wouldn't put it in my Top 25 cars to own.
