Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” is what the executives of Studebaker must have been singing when the U.S. Postal Service awarded the South Bend firm the contract to build Zip Vans. When Frank Haines got his 1963 Zip Van he must have sung, “My oh my, what a wonderful day”.

See, like I've always said, "Studebaker was ahead of the times" They built this in 1963 and it looks exactly like the new ones. :bwuhaha:

It would be fun to swap an Aussie HEMI into that and see what kind of fun can be had.

meh..the oz hemi is too hard to get..too hard to get parts for and may or may not even fit....it would look cool tho

my version would be to grab a either a supra or skyline 6 with turbo and 5spd..swap the tail to the supra irs and swap in the supra front suspension...that thing would be INSANITY and from the outside youd never notice....the supra bolt pattern is standard ford/dodge 5lug even

Why even waste your time with peanut motors...:dgt:...go big....440...multi-carbs.....:vroom:
... With a big lumpy cam... just to see how strong that big windshield really is. :)

Those inline six Supra engines are screamers...

We have the local postal repair contract at work. The "new" ones are 1984-89 chevy s-10 chassis with the throttle body 4 cylinder.

cause you can get more out of them with a whole hell of alot less weight..and the likely hood of them fitting is ALOT higher
