My 1959 Imperial Crown is an original car with approximately 40,000 miles. I found the car on the internet about three years ago. It was located in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. After a few conversations with the owner I took a trip out to look at the car. It was love at first sight.

After arranging to have it shipped home to Vermont, I began to get it ready to drive. New brakes, new drive shaft bearing and a tune-up and the car was ready for the road.

For being over 50 years old this Imperial is in remarkable shape; no rust and the interior leather and cloth is in original condition with no rips or tears. The ruby paint still shines after a polish and wax.

That front end.... so ugly. I love it!

This one has the ultra-rare Studebaker dash panel!

.......oh yeah.... I wonder how long it took the guy to graft in that Hawk dash (good catch resto) I honestly didn't notice the first time I scrolled past.

I wouldnt kick it out of bed

I've always had a soft spot for large cars, because of their comfort. But when they take on this kind of gaudiness , no. :dgt:

Well, he had the Studebaker floor mats and felt they really ought to match something, so...

The grille is too "earlier Chevrolet" but I do need that windshield. It's the same as the wagon's.

The gaudiness is my favorite part. It's so over the top. This will turn more heads than a chrome lambo. Ugly? You bet, but I'd go out of my to check it out in a parking lot.
