As Jimmy Buffet might say, “there were fins to left, fins to the right.” The year was 1990, and Jeff and Sue Baker were at a large car show and were surrounded by big 1950s big-fin cars that we being spotlighted at the event.
“My wife said, ‘Boy, those are cool,’ and after that I was always kind of looking for one,” recalled Jeff, a resident of Franklin, Wis. “Then I finally saw this one for sale in the Milwaukee Journal, and it was only $3,500.”

$3500 was a fair amount of change 23 years ago. Inflation puts it at $6400 today. A well kept unique car, but that's probably what it's worth.

Nice!
Some of the best looking cars of the fifties were the finned Mopars, in my opinion. Nothing from Ford or GM compares.

I hate it much less than I would normally hate a brown 4-door. :D That's a pretty cool machine, really. I like it.

I can tolerate the fact it's a brown 4 door but, that trim line looks out of place and, those tail lights are hideous! [smilie=f:

always liked these tail lights..and the trim line plays off the bumper points.....which is better than most fin era stuff where the trim comes and goes out of nowhere

brown 4dr or not..its a desoto and that makes it good
