A few years ago I was looking for a 1947 model Chrysler product with suicide doors, as I was born in 1947, and wanted a “birth” year collector. I found an all-original Dodge on Ebay, located in N.Y. I was concerned about rust, but the seller very wisely added his phone number. A few calls and more photos of the underside while on a lift, and I was sold! We made a deal, and the car was brought down on a trailer.

What more can you say about a nicely preserved 1947 Dodge that's still the way Walter P. had it built?

looks to be neerly the same condition as the one that was up the street from me till not long ago..original owner, driven daily right up till he died..then the car vanished....i fear the fate to which it went..ive never seen it since....only differance was his was i think a 49?(still the same car, "fluid drive" stamped into the back bumper andthe cream tan color...paint was worn off the exact same way from being lovingly washed n waxed
