black to white

dodgedifferent2

hung like a stud field mouse and
ok trying to think how i could make my black tires on my bike have wide whitewalls...it would be the only one in the town ....and would be cool
anybody know how i could go about this..i just bought new tires for the dang thing and i should have been thinking [smilie=b:

Well, I suppose you could use that white letter paint they sell......but....WHY? :D

where the hell would i find tire paint? i did read that tires are originally white and i could buff it out
but then i thought how stupid i am sure they die the whole stinking batch of rubber

cut the whitewalls out of a few car tires and glue them on.

I can sell you directions to Beepers house for the tires. [smilie=e: [smilie=a:

shh dont let beeper hear [starts whispering] is it close to my home in sarnia? cause then i will take the direction [end whisper]

glueing on whitewalls isnt that bad of an idea....since thats what they did WAY WAY back...could also get a white letter pen

Use a good white tape, and drive fast. At 10-15 miles an hour no one will no the diffrence. It will be a 10 mph + white wall :D

Why don't you just buy whitewall tires ? [smilie=e:

They do sell them ya know, so don't bet on being the only one in town.

:D didnt want to go out and buy new tires because i just bought them [smilie=b: and i was hoping it would be easy to get some die or something

guess i will suck it up ...

as for what bike it is

i am just goofing around with it and planning on putting flames on it. Its a little practice with paint and some minor body work [smilie=e: so far the fenders have no paint on them and are sitting with primer on it [smilie=e:

wish i had reasembled my italian version of a schwin..its an OLD 3spd bike that had HUGE tires like those on it...its now in B5 blue with ALOT of body work and a nice old set of "openroad" heavy metal mags..will dig out the piece tomaro so you can get some ideas

find yourself a nice heavy metalic paint...watch the local paint shop for "screwup" paints as they can be had for next to nothing...watch long enuf and you will find yourself a color that screams at you fot it..the paint i got is soooooo close to B5 that i have to wonder if someone ordered a "custom" color that was close to b5

What do you need?
Truth be told, I really don't screw up paint mixes. It cost too damn much money (and my boss would kill me).
I may have some left overs - base and single layer urethanes -, what colors do you have in mind?

oooo LEFTOVERS...i need a supply of like small baby food jars of misc paints just labled on how to mix them....the IDEAL way to paint models
