Beyond rare D200 crewcab.....

Yep, the Mitsu diesels are pretty damned rare. They were also pathetic wheeze-bags, which is I'm sure why someone opted to add the turbo (which doesn't look dealer-installed to me whatsoever). The radiator looks new but for some other application and the turbocharger looks like the worst sort of backyard cobble job. Still, the fact that it is a factory Itchypussy diesel's pretty cool. Worth restoring? I honestly don't know, but I'd be less likely to tackle it at that buy-in... parts have got to be about impossible to source for the Dodge/Mitsu combination, such as the right radiator and the missing original plumbing.

Yes it's got to be rare....but valuable or desirable...That is truly in the eye of the beholder. ;) I would love to have it, and restore it, simply because it would be something you would likely NEVER see at any other show. I get so tired of the RT, 440-6, Hemi this or that....I tend to gravitate towards the low buck, base model odd ball stuff at shows nowadays. ;)

Well, at the risk of offending those who like it.... To each his own I guess, but I fail to see the appeal in that thing. An ugly 4 door truck with an underpowered Jap diesel. I like stuff that's different I suppose. But that thing has so very little going for it, I cant see why anyone would buy it except to drive it into the ground...or for parts.

thats just it..i would drive it into the ground LOL...if it was 4wd i would have allready sent an email off to the guy

It's crying for a real diesel to be installed. Bare minimum a 4BT, and that would be an astronomical power enhancement.
