i sold my extra pair of fenders, now i have no idea how to ship them!i went to the UPS store today and they said if i could bubble wrap them and shrrink wrap them,it would cost me 115 bucks!that was with NO box.there has got to be a better way than that!

I got my Charger fender from a guy in Alaska.
He packed it up himself - very well - and shipped it FedEx Ground.
Cost me $120 for shipping.

All in all it worked out okay price wise as I got a good deal on the fender and it is a nice one.

Greyhound is cheaper. It might take a bit longer, but not much.

I had a set of Nice Cuda fenders sent is a big crate made and shipped to my work. It cost $$$ for shipping but was worth it for the fenders and grill to come in the shape it did. Grey hound is an excellent idea. Bubble Wrap!

A long time ago I had a RR rear quarter shipped and it came in an "open crate" and arrived in great shape. It was a cube of 2X4s built around the part. It's lighter, so it's cheaper to send and protects the part.

It was almost 20 yers ago, so I have no idea how much it cost to send.

use the "dirty dawg",greyhound,I used them for years,it's terminal to terminal, they don't need a crate, just put some rope handles on em' so the driver can handle them easier, then they won't get drop kicked too badly,I have 2 62 plymouth fender's coming from seattle to watertown NY for $65 each,,dirt cheap, but I gotta' drive down to get em' no big deal, about 1.5-2 hour drive,

Greyhound also has an employee policy that states if they damage customer freight they are dismissed immediately. Unlike some courier companies that if it says fragile you can sometimes see boot marks on the packages. [smilie=e:

well they have never damaged anything on me,likely because I make stuff easy to handle, they don't use forklifts and conveyor belts, like UPS,,just pass stuff by hand from bus to bus, chances are alot less of having something broken, the "dawg" driver's are usually pretty good guy's,I don't worry about a small dent in a fender, usually the fenders are rust free, that's why they are being shipped, they still need prep work, before they can go onto a vehicle anyhow.

WOw, thats good to know. Grey Hound just went up in my books.

why ? have you ever seen UPS or Fedex, pay $2500 for a set of '71 cuda fender's .offer $3k for the grill?? when they backed over them?,I didn't even get the 'gills" or the salvageable parts back....and they offered $200 each, replacement value, they don't understand, you can buy 10 little brown trux for the price of 1 old car.
