A costly renovation of Detroit’s Cobo Hall appears to have paid off in a huge Detroit auto show, attracting 815,575 attendees, around 10,000 more than last year. The record remains838,066, in 2003; the recent low point, 650,517 in 2009. Over five thousand media reps were on hand, and the industry preview brought in a record 39,788 people from 2,000 companies.
