Megadealer AutoNation is set to become the largestseller of Fiat Chrysler cars in the United States, according to an article inBloomberg News— by buying smallerdealerships and chains.
This is likely good news for FCA and buyers, since AutoNation has a better reputation than many current dealerships. The chain is the largest seller of new cars in the United States already, and it is gambling heavily this year on FCA brands, based partly on the CEO’slook at the future-product pipeline.
The current “biggest seller” of FCA cars is Lithia Motors, another largechain of dealerships that spans many brands.
