The Australian version of the Jeep Compass has gotten five stars from the local crash-testing authority, ANCAP — an independent group. The Compass scored 36 out of 37 points, with top scores for side impact, pole, and whiplash protection. The Renegade, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee already had five star ratings.
The Compass was launched in Australia and New Zealand in September; ANCAP tested a December model.
