Allpar and other sources have written about the possibility of a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat, and about the company’s applying for a trademark on the term “Trackhawk.”
Trackhawk is so obviously related to Trailhawk, Jeep’s “trail rated”series (available on all but the Wrangler, which is always “trail rated”), that it seems destined for Jeep. The big question so far has been whether it would simply replace SRT, making the latter Dodge-only within North America, or launch something new.
That brings back the rumors of the supercharged Hellcat engine in the Grand Cherokee, where it would be somewhat hampered by the top-heavy structure of the SUV, but helped by all wheel drive (if so equipped). Some have written that it will be detuned somewhat, but even a 650 horsepower Hemi with all wheel drive would be a fairly awesome vehicle. (...) →
