Mark Nixon of late? He kinda disappeared of the edge of the world. I miss him, he had a ton of parts sources and info. :)
 
Is he still there? I hadn't noticed him in a long time. Last I talked to him, he was feeling pretty dejected. Talked about getting outta the parts racket. Hope he didn't.

Got a 2 car trailer, been running my fool azz off for nutz for the :squirrel: :squirrel: and it isn't paying all that well.
The insurance is killing me.

On a better note, I'm not stuck in a cubicle or warehouse trying to make my meaguer $$ and I'm seeing a lot of the country and PLENTY of parts/cars in the wrecking yards.

Not sure what to do from here, since I can't get ahead with hauling cars, either, but I'm sure I can sell plenty of burgers at Mickey Dee's for $6 and hour. :(
Or maybe greet people with the old folks at Wal-Mart?

At any rate, I'm still kicking and alive.

Sounds like you have the life some of us dream of, I am starting small just selling a few fenders I had a partner but he got moved to Or and I am redeployed to Co Springs. Was hoping to be were you are in 3-4 years ( I can retire and hang up my bunny suit and vacate the cube)

Now your living my dream. Are you adding value ie pulling motors rebuilding then selling? Good luck I am heading back to the salt mines ( Ok a yield meeting but ..)

"But I yield to you. So, please go ahead."

Is it over when someone finally goes into the room or when two people get stuck in the door a la Archie Bunker and Meathead?
 
It's not really that bad of a way to live, so long as I can keep up with the costs and shower once a week. :D
The good thing is that I do own the truck and trailer outright, so there is no note or grumpy banker(s) to worry about.
On the downside, since I have bad credit (like a lot of us do), I can't seem to get a line of credit to help if I break down or need a piece of equipment, or even find a nice stash of parts.
I'm on my own if something happens.

But, hey, there is NOTHING as reliable to you as YOURSELF, right??

I don't know. I find everytime I turn around, I slack off on myself. Lazy bum!
 
I used to be my own boss, but I fired myself. Haven't been able to find a job since because I keep giving myself a bad reference. I guess I'm gonna have to haul my ass into court and get that straightened out.

After I re-tarred I was my own boss for a while too, but, I couldn't stand the bastid, so I quit. Now I just lay around a lot. :D
