Hey, I just wanted to bounce this off you. Do any of you own a musclecar shop, or are thinking about it? I have been doing this for some time, and put a post on another site for a partner, to get more done. I got some reply's showing some interest, if I lived near them.
A lot has happened since then, the set-up here at my house between me and my ol'lady is BAADDDD!!!! I could possibly see relocating. I have been working on these Mopars since I was 11, when my friend's dad and uncle taught me how to put a Racer Brown cam in a '63 Dodge, and jack the torsion-bar's ALL the way up! I must be doing something right, because I'm retired at 52, own a lot of stuff, and only work on cars for spare money. I get work by giving "low-budget" people a break. Not everyone want's their car judged at a show, they want to have fun with them!
Just something to think about....

Well, I've got a shop that works primarily on older machines - antiques, classics, muscle rides, hot rods, etc. We do newer cars as well, but the old stuff is a good 80% of our business.

We do body and mechanical repairs and service.

Are you looking for work or gonna open your own place?

I am setting one up here in Co. Just getting started plan is to start with motors only first. I hope to have the first one ready to sell in a few months so I am in startup mode. I had one in Az with a partner that still posts on moparchat and the whole partner thing did not work for me, but then he was 29 and I am 51 so that was a problem.

Hi, Let me tell you a little more. The big thing here is I can't take any more fighting with my ol'lady, if she want's this house that bad, then she can have it! We haven't lived here that long, so most of my stuff is still in rented storage lockers. This would be the time for me to check other thing's out.
I am open to pretty much of anything. Sadly, old Musclecars are about all I know about, and all I can talk about! The most important thing right now for me is to be around good people that like what I like, not an "X" dollar an hour paycheck. I have some tool's and equipment, but I could use more. I could be a partner in a shop, or hang out at an already established shop and do work that need's to get done. I have a retirement check, so I have a little bit of freedom on this. I'd appreciate hearing from any interested parties.

If I thought thing's would work out well for everyone, I could use some new scenery! I am getting a truck on the road right now that get's good gas mileage, in a few week's would be a good time for a road trip to check things out.

I don't necessarily need help at the moment, but there's sure a lot of resto shops here in Reno, plus half of the performance parts industry is located out in Carson City. It's clear across the country, but there's a lot going on out here. Plus, they don't salt the roads.:giggedy:

Then there's the Great White North.
I'm always looking for good, knowledgable help - ever give Canada some thought?

I pay well, relaxed atmosphere (as long as the work gets done), and you get to oggle XL once in a while. He wears these tight pants that really shows off his thong.:giggedy: Can you say "perks"?

Speedracer, we aren't too far away, either. Just tell em you are coming to visit me or Mike (pm for details) and come on up. :)
