A complete set

68R/T

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
I don't mean to steal any of Stretch's thunder, and many of you may already heard of my latest addition. For the past couple of years I've been toying with finding a 2-door 68 coronet of the same bright blue as my R/T convert and SeeDan. About a month ago I came across an ad for one that at first seemed only like a dream. But after numerous emails, and checking finances, I decided to have a looksee. Jr & I ventured 700 miles to the IronDicks neighborhood of the Appalachian Mountains to check it out. After near an hour of crawling in & under to inspect, I started negotiations. Final price still left some thought, but Jr chimed in and proposed a deal on delivery, and that clinched it.

Fast forward a few days, upon arrival of a couple of Yoopers that returned to grace my abode for a weekend, and spoil my cats. I had the initial unveiling. After a couple of minutes checking it out I looked at their faces and said, "You guys want a ride, don't you?"

Well, this is the new addition;

Yea, it's a HEEMEE, no, it's not an original Hemi car. I'm not that rich. But it was delivered on 4/26. :cool:

We were honored to be the first!

This car sounds BADASS! It boogies done the road quite nicely too!

Triple-digit speeds almost before you can start giggling. Almost... you start giggling pretty quickly, especially when 68R/T is driving it like a gleeful teenager. :dance:

68, YOU SUCK! But if you ever find yourself this way again and need a place to stay, I've got plenty of room. Don't worry, I'm just out of earshot from the dueling banjos.

Very cool 68! Great way to round out the collection!

My dad had a '68 'Net R/T prior to my birth. 440/4speed/3.91 SG in triple black. He owned it for 9 days when a drunk blew a stop sign and T-boned him on the passenger side and totaled it out.

Drive train ended up in a '66 Satellite.

Holy F'n Hell!! I saw those badges on the fender first off....don't care that it was not an original Hemi car, the fact that it is now makes it just as sweet....if not more, since you can have some real fun driving it without worrying about the potential damage to a real numbers Hemi car.

It is a true R/T car, so the only engines available were 440 or Hemi. The VIN code for this is "L" which was a 440.

hell its a hemi head 440 (didnt they make a kit or something to do that at one time)...sure is prudy
