damn clean truck...tho..ill never be a full fan of the 80+ body its too....chevy...it would look alot better without the "addons".....is it the pics or is it nose high?

Looks like it has a D60/D60 set-up??....so perhaps it has the HD springs in the front as well?

It's a 9.25" out back and a 44 in front. Standard equipment. The wheels were the first hint since they never made those alloys in the 8-lug pattern, but the both axles are obviously half-ton equipment when you look at the pics.

42,000 miles with a K&N figures to about 63,000 with a proper air filter in it, though. The flimsy brushguard and dealer-added "4x4" decals need to go.

The overall condition is amazing, though. Shame about that hideous grille.

"The Clunker" Haven't met one of these axles yet that didn't make the driveshaft ring like a bell when put into gear behind an autotragic. To their credit, they'll make that noise for at least a half a million miles without breaking (mine's original, but no longer behind a 727)

I never looked to hard to be honest....Thanks for pointing that out Doc. ;)

I had a 9 1/4 under my D250 87 ram....ran that truck heavy many a time, and drove it like it was on fire....never missed a beat.

i managed to kill one of those rears....under MASSIVE abuse..and from what i knew of the trucks history it had been tortured its entire life...i simply finished it off

dropped a pinion and a carrier at the same time best i could tell...either that or one took the other out

I did a D80 as well...but it was heavy abused under weight conditions it was never meant to carry, stripped the ring and pinion clean.

I busted 2 stock limited slip units with wheel hop on the dragstrip. Spider gear teeth turned into a steel salad.
