70 Duster w/ 25k

My favorite part is the odo is on exactly 25000 miles.

unless theres some weird oddidty with the camera angle.....
ive rebuilt enough of those speedos to know that the gearing is off....the 5 will be the LAST digit to roll up and only once the last zero has touched the top....someones assembled that speedo incorrectly....shoulda put it at 24999 and rolled the last bit by hand

Yeah, I expect the carpet and trunk liner would look like that since they've both been replaced.
Color-keyed seatbelts tell me the original carpet (if it had it) was green, although this may well have been a rubber floor mat car. Regardless, the carpet's not original.
The trunk mat is the same crappy aftermarket piece that's been selling for years--it still shows obvious folds from being in the box. I say "aftermarket" because it's not a reproduction--the factory never made shiny plastic trunk mats. Originals were textured and made of some weird foam-backed hybrid cloth material. I have never seen an accurate reproduction trunk mat offered anywhere for muscle-era Mopars.

Very curious that only 200 miles were put on the car since 1/10/72. Why apply for an extended warranty on a car you aren't going to drive?

Great car for someone else, definitely. The 3-speed's an albatross, rare or not, and the color combination is awful.

Looking closely at the wear around the seat springs, I'd say that's the original spot. The other marks appear to be black crayon, which is pretty common to find on build sheets.

He had to slide-hammer it out to install that like-new trunk mat. 😄

Mopar odometer digits of that era roll down, not up. That being the case, the positioning of the digits on the auction car align perfectly with what you describe, but in the opposite direction. The "5" obviously came down last.

aww shit your right..its been a while hasnt it LOL, of course i think it would still be more even with the 2 based on the last zero, i remember the gearing inside the digits to be easy to get "off" by a bit and cause some wonkyness..i set a few of em back to zero one on a car that was 100% rebuilt with no speedo in it, and i set mine to zero when i build the engine trans and rear, at some point i set the red cudas one to zero when i freshend the engine, it had no dash when i got it..and the milage is 200% unknown

I've messed with enough of them to know you're going to be damn lucky if it ever works again after messing around with it. :D

The car looked good at a glance but the more you look at it the worse it gets. Just like every other car on ebay.
