68 Fury Fast top

I used to think those were sooooooo cool along with the VIPs back when I was a lot boy for ma- then I laid eyes on a road runner. If its straight and somewhat non-rusted a grand is cheap.

Allright. I'm selling the Plymouth becuase I need money. Pretty bad. Aaaand I still don't have my license. And I haven't touched the car in nearly 2 years. I bought her for $1200 4 years ago; drove her daily; then parked her when I got into more license trouble.

Let me stress the word "driver", cause she is. Keep in mind this car has been in Iowa for 30 years plus. Motor has never been apart far as I can tell. I've changed the starter, rebuilt the carb which is prolly junk now.
Previous owner spent nearly $800 refurbishing the drum brakes, these things are impressive (for drums that is). I have a booster that needs put on still in the trunk.

383 2-bbl, non-Sure-Grip rear, hi-way gears

Here come the crappy pics, bear with me:

that's all for now. the pic with my hand in it is showing you (badly) how the pass-side floorpan is solid under the rotted original carpet.

That doesnt look that bad- decent gut with minimal rot. Ive had 2 sport furies and one was a 68. Got it from an indian for 100 buks and ripped the carpet out, threw a fresh set of glasspacks on it and a major tune up. Then I swapped it straight across for a 69 coronet 500 rag with a bad tranny. Everybody told that kid he was crazy but he just had to have it.

Would make a sweet ride :) The friend of a co-worker just picked up a '70 for nothing from his sister-in-law. Lucky bastich. If only I had more room
