68 Chrysler New Yorker grill / grille

thrashingcows

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing...so I'm
I'm thinking about adding a 68 Chrysler New Yorker grille assembly to my 68 T/C wagon. Would need everything from side to side, including the spacers/fillers on the fenders. Looking for parts in nice clean driver condition...no heavy pitting would be preferred...but paint flaking, or rock chipping OK.

PM if you have something, or know where I could get a complete set-up.

I know where there's one in a scrapyard, but I don't recall the condition. :hmmm: I doubt that it's very good condition, considering how bad the rest was. :(

If you don't mind going to check it out...I would appreciate it. Even if it's in "poor driver" quality shape.....I might be interested if the price was right. ;)

I don't know if the final cost would be worth it. Purchase cost + shipping something of that size = ????

And this car hasn't been indoors for probably well over 20+ years. Doc could probably give you a lot more history of the car than me. :hmmm:

I used to have a picture of it from before I got it, but that was lost in a computer re-do. :( Doc might still have one.

I don't hang onto old pictures, especially not ones taken at 3:44:43PM of December 20th of 2002.

And I definitely don't keep anything I took literally 21 seconds later, because that would be silly:

the second one is "kinda" ok looking..the first one looks like someone shoved a chevvelle nose into a c body

it does have a fordish "feel" but thruout the 60s i dont know of and cant find anything even remotely close to it...but its not entirely "ugly" the first one doesnt even look like it fits the car and was pulled right off a velle

The grille comes apart into a few pieces. The center is one piece, then the headlight frames come off from the center grill. The those outside fender pieces are just filler panels, and un-bolt from behind the fender...bit if a PITA to get off. ;)

As of 2002 that grille looked to be in OK shape....not sure what it would look like now though.

That picture was take before it was dragged out, loaded onto stretch's with an end loader and towed 250 miles with a tow bar.

Plus it's been sitting in a boneyard for another 10 years. :hmmm:

Actually if the outside fender filler panels are available I might want those. Those seem to be tougher to find then the main grille. They can be a PITA to get off though.
