A multimeter on the positive/negative should show a rise/fall in resistance as the shaft is rotated. After all, if the field in the coil doesn't collapse, the coil won't fire. It should be as simple as that.

In my experience, if it's a Pertronix, it works. 'Nuff said.

Not one iota of interest in the car anywhere, and I listed if just about everywhere but eGouge. So I'm gonna part her out. Everything is available, and pretty cheap. Also found all 4 hub caps.
