I saw this on Moparts and man it just has the look.

If I was near this car, it would be hard to say no, and impossible to not make an honest offer on it.

It's in Colorado.

I saw this on BarnFinds the other night. Mom & Dad took my Grandpa's '57 D-501 on their honeymoon so I've always loved these. Grandpa's car was two-tone black over red. It just disappeared on a trade-in sometime in the early 1960s.

I'd love to have it, but my lust runs deeper for other models.

dont get me wrong..i love most things from the 50s across the board...tho my hatred for the tri5 chevys runs deep
something about the mopars tho i feel like they did something wrong with the nose in the hood and upper front end lines..ive never been able to put my finger on it...i suspect its the depth of recessing on the headlights combined with the too thick of chrome over them and the weird thin hood with the duck bill

looks like a great car tho..

Some of the forward look cars, like that D-550, look absolutely right to my eye. Others of the period, not so much.

Then you could consider a 57 Ford, there the headlights poke out and remind me of a cartoon character choked until his eyes bulged out.

I think Ford was actually trying to set records for ugliest car back then though.

They certainly had the worst taillights in history for about a decade... huge boring round circles.

theres a reason i love my 58 ford custom 300, no boring tail lights, headlights all refined in, trim not too over the top

for some reason tho 58 with 59 being either a hit or HUGE WTF..58 just seems to be a banner year across the board to me..for the most part....55/6/7 in all of the "plain jane" cars all seem to have styling teething issues..where the higher end models tend to have things more sorted out
