1986 Dodge D50 - $18,995 - Concord, NC - STK 2026 1986 Dodge D50 Pickup
Remember the old Dodge PowerWagons - cumbersome, awkward, ugly old things. Too bad that that great name was used before this fully restored, modified D50 came along. Someone spent a lot of time planning and creating this one-off piece. Outside, inside and underneath, it is first-class. The body is straight as an arrow, the black paint is more than a professional job and the stance is just right. The original drivetrain is a memory. In its place is a 2010 Mopar 360ci/380HP crate motor housed in a nicely detailed engine compartment. This small block sounds amazing with its big cam, tube headers and Dynaflow exhaust. Behind the motor is a bulletproof 727 Chrysler 3-spd automatic with a manual valve body. Out in the back, an 8-3/4” positraction differential with 3.23:1 gears is mounted on HD leaf springs and surrounded by a very clean undercarriage. The bed has been tubbed and holds wide MasterCraft street tires on period-correct Centerline wheels. Brakes are 4-wheel disc and fuel is supplied by a serious 12-gallon fuel cell mounted in the bed. The completely redesigned interior sports Dodge Omni sport seats, AM/FM/CD, custom dash with full gauge package, center console and B&M shifter. Every small detail has been addressed. Cruise up your street in this little Dodge Monster and watch those bowtie boys scratch their heads. Call 800-650-1055 or visit www.autobarnclassiccars.com for additional information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS-IS”.

So would I, if they subtract the $16,000 extra they're asking for this shitbox. These were some of the tinniest (not tiniest, though they're small), most flexible, squeaky fuckin' rustbuckets ever to make it to our shores. I really do love the look, and a friend of mine had an '83 4x that was a great little truck other than the fact that it couldn't go 75MPH downhill in a hurricane. I actually like 'em, but I'm realistic as to what they were and are. This truck is an easily-managed menagerie of junkyard/swap meet parts--Daytona seats, cheap aftermarket gauges and shifter, $59 Wal-Mart CD player, etc. $19K?! Not a whelk's chance in a supernova.

You could build this thing in a weekend, sans paint and body, for $2,500... and that would cover the cost of the materials for body and paint work. I mean, if you start with an automatic truck it's already got an A904 in it!

very very true..and your right about small..got access to a 4x one..and i stuffed it down quad trails..spots that NO other truck would consider fitting..bob the ass and the corners are no issue...but squeeeeeeeek they are noisy lil bastards but even a stone stock 4x is amazingly capable for the lil beasty they are

I wasn't really commenting on their size, I said they're tinny, i.e. cheap, flimsy, junky. However, that works to one's advantage where weight is a concern.
