That's a lot of bread for an ill handling, nose heavy straight line car. '76 was the only year duster that used the tranverse torsion bars. Add the weight of a 440 up front.....

At least my waGOON has the added weight of all the glass at the rear to help balance it.

What are you smoking?! :wtf: A-body Dusters never had transverse torsion bars, nor did any A-body. Ever. You can see the longitudinal bars dating back to the '60 Valiant in the pictures!

No matter. There ain't a '75-'76 A-body in the planet that's worth half of what he's asking... because, y'know, it's '75-'76 A-body. Maybe, maybe you could get $10K out of a 360/4-speed Hang 10 Dart Sport. You'd have to find someone kind of, uh, special, though. :D

The "ultralight" Feather Duster (and the Dodge Dart Lite) was only available with the Slant Six and overdrive 4-speed. It was a fuel-economy special. It's valuable only as a parts car. You could not get the lightweight parts any other way, other than ordering them at the parts counter and installing them yourself. There was no way to option them on the order sheet. No V8 cars were built with them, but if one somehow did get built, it's still a '76 Duster.
The "Spirit of '76" car, if one exists as a 360-4V Space Duster with a floor shift, would still be a big stretch at $10K. It might pull 70% of that, based being one of very few if not the only one. But, like I said, it's still a '75-'76 car. Might as well have fun with it, since collector value is nil.
'74 is the last year A-bodies have any value, and even then only if they're 360-4V "package" cars. Maxed out, full-boogie restoration on one of those cars, with all numbers matching and the Space/Convertriple option? Twelve five would be a tough sell.

absolutly agreed...its been ages since i saw ANY of those forsale even..its like they dont exist...hell the last feather and 76 car i saw were parked side by side at a wrecker in the 90s
