1972 Plymouth Cuda - $36,900 - Manchester, NH - This 1972 Plymouth 340 Cuda would get any Mopar enthusiast excited! Looking at this Cuda, you cant help but notice its super straight body and high gloss mirror like finish. Refinished in its original factory TX9 Formal Black paint. It has matching #'s 340 engine with some performance upgrades. Pistol Grip 4 spd. trans., 8 3/4 3.23 Sure Grip axle, PS, manual drum brakes, sport hood, Rally instruments, console. Originally an am/fm multi plex radio, now upgraded to a Pioneer 45wx4 am/fm CD player. Dual chrome sport racing mirrors with drivers' side remote. 3 spd. variable wipers, roof drip rail moldings, lower rocker molding, blk 340 hockey stripe, rear valance exhaust with chrome tips. Upgraded 15" steel Police wheels with dog dish hub caps and rear deck spoiler giving this 340 Cuda a sinister look. The car has a terrific body, doors open and close perfectly, orig. MFG door ID decal indicates the build date of 4/72. Clean door bottoms, and it appears the car has the original door weather strip that's in excellent condition. Bright work that is near brilliant condition through out. Orig. door handles are very good, but not perfect. The new lower rocker moldings and wheel opening moldings break u the cars black accent. Beautiful chrome mirrors, re chromed front and rear bumpers, restored chrome headlight bezels, orig. Argent silver grille, in perfect condition, as well as the grille surround. Original tail light bezels and lenses are considered in A-1 condition, all orig. glass including the windshield. New window felts, rear quarter vent rubber gaskets, side marker lights, and emblems are new. The radio antenna is original. The interior is nice and clean, new carpet, seat covers, headliner, orig. factory seat belts with shoulder harness. Rally instruments all work fine, except for the clock. The door panels are original and are in exceptional condition. Key buzzer works, backup lights with reverse light on the dash works. Orig. dash pad with only crack near the speaker grille, very typical area on the E-body cars. Interior and dash lights work. Orig. 2 spoke sport steering wheel, orig. rear view mirror, nice clean rear pkg. tray with dual 6x9 speakers. The sill plates are new, aftermarket auto meter oil and temp gauges are neatly installed under the dash. All 4 black rubber Cuda mats compliment the cars interior. Hurst pistol grip 4 spd. trans shifts smooth with no apologies. Under the hood is a #'s matching 340 with some performance upgrades. Edelbrock performer RPM aluminum intake, Holley 4 barrel carb., ceramic coated headers with new dual 2.5 exhaust system with OEM style mufflers and new chrome exhaust tip extensions extending from the lower rear valance. Mopar performance valve covers, chrome alternator, 26" orig. radiator, electronic ignition wit orig. style distributor. Vin # appears on the block, front radiator support and the top of the cowl. Clean original trunk pan with factory under coat, orig. decal under the trunk lid, Clean orig. floor pans & under coating. Rear quarters professionally replaced with proper seams, virtually undetectable. Nice tight front end freshened with new inner tie rod ends and pitman arm, new shocks, brake lines and fuel lines. The car's overall performance and handling is excellent. New front and rear sway bar links. Overall very solid undercarriage. This Cuda is a must see. E-body Cudas are the most sought after Mopars in today's collector car world. If you've been searching for a Cuda...look no more! Comes with orig. fender tag, no broadcast sheet, (however, its a matching #'s 4 spd.), owner's manual, warranty booklet, Emissions control booklet. Has lots of eye appeal!

This car is freakin' sharp. I'm not wild about the engine doo-dads, but the rest of the car makes me not care about that whatsoever. Other than the console, this is very similar to what my old Challenger looked like when I got it, right down to the dog dishes and the steering wheel (I upgraded to a Tuff wheel). I'd lose the spoiler (assuming I could get a decent trunk lid) but externally I think I'd leave it as-is. I'm not a fan of hockey sticks on later cars, either, but I give 'em a pass because they're black and I like the effect here.

He's easily $12K high in today's market, but it really is pretty nice overall. Damned shame about the '72 grille and especially taillamps. :doh:
