1970 Plymouth Cuda - $79,500 - Kansas City, MO - 1970 V-code 440 6-barrel 'Cuda, one of 853 6-barrel automatics produced. Numbers-matching engine, including the cast-iron 6-barrel intake manifold. The 727 automatic transmission is a replacement unit. The build sheet verifies the following the options:
FJ5 Limelight paint
Dual painted racing mirrors
N96 Shaker hood
A32 Super Performance Axle Package (4.10 Dana with 727 Automatic Trans) (Note: Current gearset is 3.54)
Power front disc brakes (Note: current front discs are Wilwood vented discs with 4 piston calipers)
Tinted glass
Standard dash with column shift
Factory undercoating
Details: Car was completely stripped and re-finished using PPG products. All filler used was USC All-Metal. Quarters were re-skinned and a new trunk floor was installed. Trunk lid is a repro, as are front and rear valance panels. Shaker bubble and grille are refinished originals. Side gills are repro. Bare metal was coated with DP40 epoxy primer, followed by K200 primer, DBU basecoat, and 5 coats Concept DCU 2020 clearcoat which was wet sanded and buffed. Hockey-stick stripes are added (not specified on build sheet). Engine is a stock-type rebuild, exhaust is TTI 1 7/8" nicket-plated headers with TTI 3" H-Pipe exhaust, exiting through Flowmaster 40-series mufflers and TTI stainless tips. Carbs are repro. The electrical system is upgraded with a Denso alternator, upgraded wiring, and relays for headlights and roadlamps. All electrical accessories work with the exception of the original AM radio which is not hooked. Ignition system is MSD-7AL hidden under the battery tray. Suspension is stock-type with upgraded Mopar Performance .96' torsion bars and XHD biased springs in the rear. All bushings are PST polygraphite. Magnum Force tubular upper control arms allow lowered front end with proper alignment specs. Interior is Legendary seat covers, new carpet and headliner. Dash is Year One repro. Door panels are re-dyed originals. Drive anywhere with confidence, this car is proven and reliable.

Well, I guess the new owner will find out whether all the details about the finish work are real when he repairs or replaces the crushed RH front fender. That partially explains the real-world asking price for a V-code car, though the column shift, standard dash, filed-down non-rosette VIN rivets (you've gotta take the VIN off to repop the dash) and bevy of non-original parts are certainly helping the buyer in this case.
 
Plus their little "trick" of only one body tag screw being painted didn't come out right. The shape of the unpainted portion doesn't match the shape of the tag. And the tag doesn't look as if it's ever been bent.
