1970 AMC Javelin - $29,995 - Belleville, IL - For sale through the original owner is a 1970 AMC Javelin SST Ram Air (X-code) 390 Go Pack 3-speed Automatic at 88,075 original miles. This car is fully documented with a binder of information, original sales paperwork, restoration photographs and includes a surplus of extra parts. Show or drive this investment grade Javelin. The car includes its complete and original powertrain. The engine, transmission, rearend, driveshaft, suspension, brakes, paint, chrome and interior were all beautifully restored with matching factory parts, colors, design intent and finished in 2012. The upgrades include: performance camshaft, headers, intake, carburetor, electronic ignition, gauges, adjustable coil over front shocks, rear performance shocks and sway bar package. The original parts replaced with upgrades are included with the car.1970: A one-year only design with improved suspension inspired by the AMC Trans Am racing efforts.
X CODE 390: The largest engine available, identified with chrome value covers, rated at 325 hp/435 ft lb with (one year only) 51cc performance cylinder heads with dog-leg exhaust ports. The code remained “X” for the 390 engine on the engine ID tag.
