Real RS23 GTX. Matching numbers. Great color combination of Burgundy on white. 440 c.i. engine. Factory 4 speed 833 transmission, Dana 60 rear end with 3.54. 14 inch magnum wheels. New paint.
We found the GTX in New Brunswick. It was owned by a MOPAR enthusiast who had just bought it off a multi MOPAR owner in Alberta. The New Brunswick owner was going to restore the car for his business but decided to go in another direction. We found this GTX to be extremely solid. The whole interior was changed recently (seats, door panel, liner, etc) and the dash is very clean. The engine and transmission are in excellent working condition. It has a serious sound attributable to its cam/exhaust combination.
Additional information
When we bought the GTX it was riding on 14 inch magnums with bias ply tires. We painted the wheels and kept the tires. If you are planning to drive this car –and you should- we would suggest switching to red line radials. We can arrange that.
This GTX had an older repaint which quite frankly was not up to par with the rest of the car. We had it stripped down to metal and painted in its original burgundy metallic colors. Lower quarters were replaced.
The engine pulls strong and the transmission shifts crisply with some slight play.
Other than a couple of patches in the floor the main one being on the passenger side the undercarriage of the GTX is very solid and absolutely solid and rust free.
The chrome is in excellent condition; we did change the door handles, the mirror and the antenna.
The seats have newer covers. The fender tag indicates S6X, which is black trim. The carpet is relatively new but the seatbelts are showing their age. Everything works including tach and all lights.
