1965 Plymouth Fury - $21,900 - North Bethesda, MD - Beautifully original and incredibly well kept example of the sleek Fury III Convertible. Local Virginia car that came out of large private collection and has been kept as original as possible. Little over 100k miles driven since then and car never looks to have been restored. Body is wonderfully straight with no rust issues and has factory off white paint that shows remarkable well. Must have had a repaint the original color at some point as paint is just too nice to be 50 years old. Rubber trim is showing its age but is still presentable and all chrome, trim and glass show real well. Interior appears to be completely original and looks fantastic for its age. Door panels, seats, dash and carpets are all in great shape with newer, power soft top that works really well. All gauges, lights and signals function as they should with windows working real well also. Mechanically the car is very strong with factory 383 Commando engine firing right up and running very well. Transmission shifts very smooth and we just completed a big service with new power steering pump, complete front and rear brake service with new wheel cylinders, shoes, lines etc. New correct period tires were installed and replaced the strut rod bushing. Underneath the car is very solid with great trunk and engine compartments. More pictures are available upon request. Factory spare is there along with jack kit. Overall a truly well cared for car that was properly stored and maintained as needed, always keeping in mind to keep as original as possible. Ready for much more motoring fun.

Black engine bay :naughty:

Who installed that top, Stevie wonder or Ray Charles.

All-in-all, a fairly decent top-down cruiser for less than half the asking.

Another top installer that doesn't know the "let it get warm first, then pull it tight while installing" trick. Sad.

I'm pretty sure the inner fenders should be black. I'm not sure about the firewall, though. Remember: C-barge. It's a big God-damned Mopar Nova. The engine bays are bolt-on and were assembled after the car was painted. I know later cars had black inner fenders. No matter; with a 383-2V there's no reason to open the hood for others. :D

That's the main reason why I consider it a decent top-down cruiser.

I'm not a big fan of the magnum wheels, but they don't look half bad on this. :hmmm:
