OK, so it looks to be an original 4-spd car....that's good. Whether it's an original V8 car...

IF it is a 318, 230 hp is the factory rating for a stock, 2bbl 318. From the pics it looks to be straight, but "resale red" always scares me. :hmmm:

Well, if it's a 318 it's obviously a swap. Hard to say, though... that kind of looks like an early water pump. It could be a 273, but they're not saying if it's an original 8-cylinder car. The GT interior sure looks good, I'll say that.

If it's everything it's cracked up to be, it's a nice $7,500 car. The body-colored blower motor gives me reason for concern, though.

no way in hell would it be a factory 318 as those didnt come out till 68...so it would be a 273..what is it right now..who knows..you cant even be sure from the waterpump and timing cover cause those are required for the early rads and swap onto a 318 even a 360 for that matter

Yes, I pointed out that if it's a 318 it's a swap... but it doesn't have an early radiator, does it? :hmmm:

The water pump and timing cover, pre-'70, are identical between 318 and 273... including the later Poly engines.

on closer inspection that is a 70s waterpump its the "cheep" one..there are 2 types of 70s waterpumps..the one that looks like a gatling in the center and the one thats got less meat on it without the gatling look...the pre 70s piece is CASTIORN..that is an aluminum pump..so..by that ima guess its a 70s engine

Well, '70s accessories, anyhow. They all bolt to whichever block a fella chooses, 273-360. That's an oddball alternator setup, though. None of my engines have had that arrangement for an upper bracket.
