1964 Dodge 440 - $36,000 - Danbury, CT - Up for sale is my 1964 Dodge 440 2 door post sedan. This configuration is very rare because back in the day I would say that most of the 440's were ordered as a Hard Top. Most of the Sedans were built as a 330 models which did not have the extra level of exterior and interior trim that wasn't required by the race teams or people that were trying to keep cost down. In 4 years showing this car at shows I have never seen another Dodge 440 Sedan. The car came with a 318 originaly and now has a 440.
All the body work and interior of the car was finished in 2011. Exterior body and paint work is near perfect, car was only driven by me on weekends to carshows and might have been caught out in the rain a couple of times. Other than that kept in a heated garage for winters.
Engine: 1966 440 .30 over with early mopar stage 3 iron heads. Engine came from a 1966 GTX. Purple shaft cam, TRW pistons, 800 cfm Edlebrock carb w/electric choke, m1 hi rise manifold, alum. water pump and housing, mini high torque starter. TTi 2 " ceramic coated headers.
Trans.: Auto. 1966 727 3000 stall converter, B&M flex plate, B&M shift kit, with a Lokar floor shifter.
Rear End : Dana 60 with 4:11 spool with new axles and bearings. Super Stock 1" over stock leaf springs.
Wheels and Tires: 7" x 15" American torque thrust wheels with 30.5" Firestone Cheater Slicks rear and P215/65R15 front.
Exhaust : 3" Aluminized TTi exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers and Quick Time electric cutouts.
Brakes : Disc. brakes in front with line lok, and 3" rear drum brakes.
Exterior : All chrome bumpers and trim in excellant condition, paint a 9+.
Interior : New gauges, old time tach, all new interior, all gauges and dash plastic all redone.
The car is fun to drive, and draws lots of attention .
