1964 Chrysler Newport - $19,900 - Grand Rapids, MI - Chrysler revived the name Newport after a short hiatus from the 1950's. The Newport was built and intended to appeal to the owners of the discontinued DeSoto brand.
This was essentially the first generation in this type of trim level and design and they were built from 1961-1964. These cars were available in a convertible, 2-door hardtop, 4-door sedan or station wagon.
The body styles for 1961 and 1962 were the same and same goes for the 1963 and 1964 models.
The car that we are excited to present is no ordinary Newport. This car was restored in 2012 with some fantastic drivability upgrades including ice-cold air conditioning, disc brakes, Be Cool aluminum radiator with twin fans, MSD ignition, dual 2 ¼'' aluminum exhaust and Fast fuel injection all with receipts and manuals.
The car operates flawlessly with no leaks or smoke, the interior is gorgeous, perfect brakes and tires and nice paint. The engine is smooth and the push button automatic transmission operates perfectly.
The car comes with the original intake, carb and air cleaner. Has factory manuals and numerous other stock parts.
This car can be enjoyed as a show car, excellent ''go-anywhere'' driver or a fantastic edition to any collection.

They must've spent a small fortune and a load of man hours on the brightwork. And why are there no pics of this "rest-modded" engine?

All that work into the chrome, but they couldn't be bothered with painting the steering column.

I don't see this one bringing that kind of coin. It's the cheap & sleazy FAST throttle-body system, so it's not a massive upgrade to MPFI in either labor or cost. It's a limited-appeal car but they're asking mass-appeal money.
