It is only now available due to the passing of its owner. This wonderful classic has some mechanical needs. Our shop is very busy with other projects. We won't be able to address this cars needs for months. So we're offering it for sale at a low low price with disclosure of our findings - good & bad. GOOD The body of this Hawk is exceptional featuring an excellent earlier respray over what appears to be a totally rust and bondo free body (Mill guage readings are as good as they get with no abnormally high readings). The chrome shows well with VERY light pitting--basically barely noticeable. The red cloth interior (including the padded dash) is excellent. With a good detail this car could move right onto our showroom, it's that nice! MECHANICAL ISSUES DISCOVERED: INOPERATIVE * A/C blower * Horn NEEDS REPLACEMENT * Front and rear wheel cylinders * Front brakes * Rear spring bushing * Water pump -- so bad that we're afraid to drive it * Battery * Fuel pump (leaking) * Right rear freeze plug * Wiper blades * Numerous bulbs OTHER * Steering column is loose * Power steering leaks Due to the dangerous condition of the water pump we were not able to drive this car any distance to check it out further. For that reason we are pricing this car well below its intrinsic value. Hagerty Valuation gives a value of $13,400 for a '63 Gran Turismo Hawk in #4 condition.
