Except for the trunk lid it's looks to be a pretty solid start, but you never know what's hiding beneath the surface. :hmmm:

The only way you're going to get that kind of trunk rot is from the morning ocean air dew. Unlike rust-belt where rust goes from bottom up, the ocean dew goes from top down. :huh:
 
actualy trunk lid rot is not uncommon on the west coast even on cars nowhere neer the coast....meanwhile the lower half of the cars remain 100% solid...i always atributed it to the trunk seal
 
Trunk seal issues would lead to rusted trunk floors. The trunk lid is above the seal.
