1962 Chrysler 300H - $97,000 - Lake Oswego, OR - 1962 Chrysler 300H Convertible.Serial number 8423 121259.
Produced on October 18, 1961, this is one of just 123 Chrysler 300H convertibles made for the 1962 model year. Sold by Wordon-Martin Chrysler in Champaign, Illinois, the early ownership history is unknown. By the early 1990's it was in the collection of a Chrysler 300 Club member who reserached the pedigree of the car and confirmed it is a factory 300H convertible. See documents below. He sold it to the current owner in Oregon approximately 20 years ago. A full restoration was then commissioned including work done by noted Chrysler 300 marque specialist, the late Merle Wolfer. This was a painstaking, nut-and-bolt frame-off 20-year restoration that is very correct in all details. Since completion in 2015 the car has been driven less than 100 miles and never shown.
The body is beautiful with correct Chrysler "Festival Red" (code PP7) color. Lazer straight with all chrome re-plated to show quality. New black power top (the only deviation from the build card which originally lists a white top.) Top raises and lowers quickly. New, correct tan upholstery. All interior trim has been refinished and is gorgeous. Power windows. FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. 7-button "Golden Touch" radio with power antenna, tinted glass and stone shields with sill moldings.
The rebuilt 413 cubic inch, 380 HP Wedge V-8 with dual Carter 4-barrel carburetors runs beautifully with plenty of power. Torqueflite transmission shifts well. A real pleaure to drive.
There is little to add. If you want an exceptionally-rare Chrysler (estimated to be one of 39 remaining) for show or go, this is one of the best in the world.
We will happily sell to buyers worldwide.
