1960 Chrysler LeBaron - $23,500 - Oxnard, CA - The Chrysler Imperial was first introduced in 1926 and was the top of the line luxury for the Chrysler Corporation. From 1955 to 1983, Chrysler formed a separate division for Imperial and was no longer called the Chrysler Imperial, simply "Imperial." Mopar shoppers could now shop for a Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, or Imperial, depending upon their pay scale, all within the Chrysler Corporation. Imperial buyers were doing so because of engine power, luxury and prestige. For 1960, Imperial Received a new body style and new interior. The design was conceived by longtime industrial designer Virgil Exner and featured a space age interior and wildly exaggerated exterior styling such as a large swooping bumper, massive grill and tail fins with gunsight style turn indicators. Imperials were offered in three levels of trim: Imperial Custom, Imperial Crown and Imperial Le Baron. Gas mileage was not a concern for car shoppers during that time but it took a lot of fuel to get a 5,500 pound car like this up and going. The task was made easier by its big block V8. This platform ran until 1966. The next year, Imperial went through a major design change. Until that time, Imperial's such as this one, were the widest, non limousine automobiles ever produced by Detroit after Lincoln's downsizing in 1961. This vehicle was bought new by a Ventura County, California farmer. It came with a factory large rear window which the owner did not like. He took it to a body shop where they reworked the roof to install a smaller window. If you look carefully near the back window, you can see an area where the metal work tells a tell tale sign of this modification. For additional information please call Dave Henry at 805-705-4924.

Then why does the ad say "Chrysler LeBaron", retard?

OY the words "polished turd" can be screamed...let the engine bay shot...god my eyes...and the "block of wood mounted AC" speak for the cars "quality"

If I were looking for a ghetto cruiser to throw money away at I could find a lot of less ugly ones. :dgt:

I hadn't even clicked on the ad when I responded last time. Do my eyes deceive me, or is that an E-body Barracuda rear window?! :hmmm:
