During the 20's, 30's & 40's the Studes were classed right up there with the Caddies, Packards & Buicks. Then in the 50's they concentrated more on futuristic styling and started losing quality. By the 60's the loyal customers became pissed about the quality. Factor in poor management and the writing was on the wall. 
If you can find a Stude from the 20's, 30's or 40's you'll see a car with traditional styling and quality build.
