1956 Plymouth Belvedere - $25,000 - NEWARK, CA - 1956 Plymouth Belvedere Convertible, New top and matching black boot January 2015. Completely rebuilt original, correct V8-277 Poly bored out to take 318 pistons by local speedshop. Originally 200-hp, now probably 220-hp with 4-bbl Carter WCFB on OEM cast iron intake. Oil bath air cleaner with dry cartridge filter. Spin on oil filter. Original, rebuilt 12V generator with PS pump caboose and voltage regulator. Original battery heat shield for taxi service. Modern Spicer driveshaft and u-joints. Heavy duty '56 Chrysler 4-pinion rear end with new seals. Original, wire wheelcovers by Cello as appeared in most 1956 Plymouth Brochures and ads. Optional, original 12" brakes 100% rebuilt as used on 56 Desoto. New, dual master cylinder as used on later Mopars. Modern, retractable 3-point seatbelts front seat. Original optional power windows, power seats, dual tailfin antennas. Search tune radio. Frame off restoration, powder coated frame. New grade-5 fasteners everywhere. All NOS, NORS, or rebuilt suspension components. Epoxy primer. One stage paint, not color sanded nor clearcoated. New 56-Fury style seats, door cards, dash, electronic SW tach. New heavy chrome on taillights and backups. New parking/turn/backup lenses. All new Rhode Island Wiring harnesses, faithful to original. Completely rebuilt 3-speed manual and BW overdrive.
