1953 Studebaker Commander - $29,500 - Fredericksburg, TX - It is not very often you get the opportunity to own a very rare car like this Studebaker Coupe. I can count the times I have seen one on one hand and have a thumb left over. This one is very original and a has only 90,499 miles on it. Of course it will be sold miles exempt due to age. The interior is very nice and looks totally original. It has nice fabrics, carpet, and head liner. The gauges and dash still look terrific. The rear seat has a center mounted console. All of the glass is outstanding. Good thing because I bet it is hard to find glass for one of these cars. The body is solid and has been repainted but I am not sure when. It looks smooth with nice chrome and trim. The two tone colors just scream fifties. The design of these cars were way ahead of their time. The lines are so awesome and these car still looked fresh way into the sixties. Power comes from a smooth running 232 V-8 motor backed by an automatic transmission. It also has power steering so it is easy to drive. The ride and handling are very good also. This car cost $3,243.47 back in 1953. The same owner drove this car daily until 1969. Then it was retired to short weekend trips. It has been well maintained over the years and is a very good car. Financing, insurance, and delivery are available.
